The Liberty Hill foundation is a leader in social justice issues. They commissioned me to create an artwork for their offices in 2014, and then published this interview with me. I recently re-read the interview, and thought I'd share it here. In it, I talk about how I started in the fiber arts, and some of my inspirations. Enjoy!

I am influenced by the landscape of my childhood, both interior and exterior. I grew up in a remote Quaker community adjacent to the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia, Canada. My work is also influenced by the strong light and colors of Los Angeles, my chosen home.
