The "Art Quilts" exhibition is now at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock CA. The exhibition runs from April 4 thru May 27, 2018. Here's a couple of photos of the installation - my "Homage to LA" artwork is on the right on the wall. If you are in the area, it's a good chance to see some great fiber art.

Edward Goldman on NPR Radio's "Art Talk" has a short review of the group art quilt exhibition that I'm in at the California Heritage Museum this month. Press "play" to listen, scroll down to see a couple of photos and the actual text. http://www.kcrw.com/news-culture/shows/art-talk/norton-simon-museum-celebrates-centennial-of-degas-death The Liberty Hill foundation is a leader in social justice issues. They commissioned me to create an artwork for their offices in 2014, and then published this interview with me. I recently re-read the interview, and thought I'd share it here. In it, I talk about how I started in the fiber arts, and some of my inspirations. Enjoy! https://www.libertyhill.org/2014/07/16/liberty-hill-supporter-and-artist-connie-rohman-shares-must-see-art-work Welcome to my updated website! Unfortunately, the older blog posts do not roll over to the new website, so here we go, starting the blog anew. I will post news and upcoming events here. Oh, and the above photo is of where I grew up in Canada. Thanks for stopping by, and Happy New Year!

AuthorI am influenced by the landscape of my childhood, both interior and exterior. I grew up in a remote Quaker community adjacent to the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia, Canada. My work is also influenced by the strong light and colors of Los Angeles, my chosen home. Archives
